Mathematics

Students develop knowledge, skills and understanding of mathematical concepts and their use within and beyond the mathematics classroom.

The study of mathematics is mandatory from Kindergarten to Year 10. The Mathematics K–10 Syllabus consists of the following strands:

Students learn to apply their mathematical knowledge, skills and understanding in a broad range of contexts beyond the mathematics classroom, including in such core learning areas as science, geography, history and English.
