COVID-19 Information for Students

Where possible, formal training should be undertaken online or deferred. Any face to face delivery must comply with NSW Public Health Orders. All training providers in these areas should be limiting the movement of students at this time.

School based apprenticeships and traineeships (SBATs) may undertake employment as part of their SBAT as long as this employment complies with NSW Public Health Orders.

All other apprentices and trainees may continue to undertake their employment, as long as that employment is in accordance with NSW Public Health Orders.

Where possible, formal training should be delivered online or deferred. Note, extended breaks in formal training for SBAT students may impact achievement of the HSC.

COVID-19 Support for International Students


International students are eligible to book the COVID-19 vaccination. Students do not need to hold a Medicare card to make the booking or to receive the vaccination.

International students working in aged care, can contact the National Coronavirus Helpline on 1800 020 080 and select option 4 for priority assistance and advice relating to vaccine bookings.

COVID-19 Support is available to help with vaccination bookings.

A new website is available to all international students for information and support in areas including access to vaccinations, health and wellbeing, mental health, work rights, legal advice, safety and COVID-19 support.
