Liverpool West Public School parent tests positive for COVID-19

The Department has been advised that a parent in our school community has tested positive for COVID-19 (coronavirus) late Thursday 9 April 2020 after school had ceased for the term.

10 April 2020

The Department has been working closely with NSW Health to assist them in assessing the situation. On advice from NSW Health all those identified as a close contact have been contacted and there is no further action required by the school. It is a personal matter for those involved and they will be supported directly by NSW Health. I am sure you join me in wishing the parent a quick recovery. =

People assessed as being a ‘Close Contact’ of the person concerned have been contacted by NSW Health directly and given appropriate advice. NSW Health has processes in place to determine those who are a Close Contact.

I would like to reassure you that the school will take action in accordance with NSW Health advice on a confirmed case of COVID-19.
