School Check-in

The department has partnered with Service NSW to make improvements to the way visitors and contractors sign in at schools.

Integrating the Service NSW app and web form with the department’s newly created digital logbook, School Check-in provides an easy and secure digital sign-in experience at schools.

The contents and instructions on this page are for participating pilot schools only.

Roles and responsibilities

Principals

  • Ensure you and your school administrative manager (SAM) are familiar with the resources on this page.
  • Ensure appropriate access to the School Check-in Logbook is delegated to your School Administrative Manager (SAM) and relevant School Administrative Officer (SAO) as appropriate. Access should be restricted to staff that needs it. See providing school staff with access (DOCX 469 KB) for instructions.

School Administration Managers

  • Ensure you and your school administrative staff are familiar with the resources on this page and that appropriate SAOs have access to the School Check-in Logbook.
  • Keep spare copies of the downloadable resources on this page in an easy to access file location on your school’s Onedrive and confirm these arrangements with SAOs.

Your school's QR code

Your school's unique School Check-in QR code will be sent directly to your school email account from the school check-in team. Please email school.check-in@det.nsw.edu.au if you haven't received your QR code by close of business Wednesday 19 May.
