Portal experience

As part of our digital transformation to bring about a single destination, we are rolling out a new portal experience for staff, students and extranet users.

What's changing?

The portals, including the staff, extranet, student (and Kids), portals will be upgraded and moved onto a new platform. Changes will include:

  • a refreshed user experience including redesign of layout, colours, fonts, labels and icons
  • a responsive portal that can be used on a range of devices including mobile
  • a simplified login on a single domain.

Why is it changing?

The current technology is old and outdated so we are introducing new technology with a responsive design to improve your digital experience. These changes are an exciting step forward as we continue to improve the way we deliver information and services online.

When is it changing?

Development is already under way. We’re testing the new portals among a small group now and this will be followed by a larger pilot roll out before we launch across the whole organisation.
