If you choose to send us a message through Facebook or other channels, we may ask for your contact details so the team can get back to you.

Sharing stories with us
Who are we and what do we do?
We’re the NSW Department of Education. We’re the largest provider of public education in Australia – delivering high-quality education to NSW government-run preschools, primary schools and high schools.
These are managed by the social media team at the NSW Department of Education, but the real work is done by our amazing team of schools, students and teachers who help to capture all the amazing work, fun and successes of education in New South Wales. Our social media channels are a reflection of this.
How do I share my photos with you?
All you need to do is tag or email.
On Facebook you can mention us by tagging @NSWDepartmentofEducation or message us directly through our Facebook page.
On Twitter you can mention us by tagging @NSWEducation or sending us a direct message on our Twitter page.
You can also email us at email@example.com.
If we’ve reached out to you to request permission to share, then you can accept by responding with #LoveWhereYouLearn or simply by answering affirmatively.
If I submit my image to the NSW Department of Education, will it be used somewhere else apart from the social media channels?
It might. From time to time we will feature some images on our education.nsw.gov.au webpage. We may also occasionally contact you if we would like to use your image or video elsewhere.
How do you select the photos you feature?
Photos are selected based on how they fit within our schedule of events, news and campaigns or how they showcase individual success. We also consider how well they fit our channels visually. We always aim to give credit to the owner of the photo, whether it be a school or an individual.
How can I be featured on your account?
All of our schools, students and teachers have so much to offer and we love sharing. However, with so many schools and such limited time and space, there are a few things that you can do to make sure that your content will be a good fit for our page.
- Ensure any identifiable students have had ‘permission to publish’ forms signed by their parents/guardians before submitting them.
- Send images that are clear and high-resolution.
- Make sure videos are snappy (less than one minute) and clear.
- Have a student focus where possible.
- Don't include any copyrighted materials including logos, imagery, video or music.
How can I contact you?
