Premiers Teachers Mutual Bank New and Emerging Technologies Scholarship
For over 50 years Teachers Mutual Bank has provided financial services to Australian teachers and is the only remaining bank dedicated to the education sector. With over 200,000 members and more than $8 billion in assets, we're one of Australia's largest mutual banks. However, one thing has never changed, our passion for helping members' financial futures and giving back to their community.
This scholarship is open to all primary and secondary teachers currently teaching in NSW schools or TAFE NSW campuses. The scholarship is for the study and investigation of new and emerging technologies and how they could be applied in the context of innovative teaching practice in NSW curriculum/courses.
Teachers applying will need to demonstrate:
- competence in incorporating new and emerging technologies in their teaching method
- capacity to develop within students learning skills based on their appropriate engagement
- that their study tour will advance understanding of how different technologies can contribute to improved educational outcomes
The successful applicant will undertake a study tour of up to five weeks in Australia and/or overseas, with travel to be completed by 30 June 2021. Time need not be spent in formal study, but may involve a program of visits to schools and institutions to conduct interviews, observe exemplary practices and collect resources for the preparation of teaching materials related to new and emerging technologies education across the curriculum in the K-12 range or in TAFE courses.
One scholarship of $15,000 will be offered for travel during 2021.
